AJ and his team were a pleasure to deal with and extremely helpful, particularly given the short notice we gave them. They completed tiling across several areas of our apartment and were always willing to come back when something needed attention. On a personal level, we found them good people to deal with. However, and I genuinely don’t enjoy writing this, the attention to detail was not where it needed to be. We had two high-end bathrooms involving marble and natural stone, which require a particularly careful and considered approach. Unfortunately, there were inconsistencies in the workmanship, including tile alignment, inadequate spacing for silicone joints, chipped and cracked tiles, and one damaged corner floor tile that appeared to have been covered over with grout rather than properly addressed. The clean-up was also disappointing. Grout residue was left on the stone, including in the crevices of our Nero floor tiles, leaving grey staining that we have been unable to remove without risking damage to the surface. The silicone and general tile cleaning were also left to us. I’ve since spent several days cleaning and scrubbing away grout build-up that should have been dealt with before the job was handed over. There were also occasions where communication could have been better, although we were generally able to work through these issues. I appreciate that tiling natural stone is challenging, but when undertaking bathrooms of this nature, attention to detail, consistency, protecting the material and leaving the finished work properly cleaned are all part of the job. Given the cost of the work, I expected a greater level of care and pride in the finished product, rather than having to spend considerable time addressing issues left behind. My impression is that natural stone, marble and limestone may not be their strongest area of expertise. They may well be better suited to more conventional porcelain tiling, but based on our experience, I would hesitate
